Since October 2019
the alarm on our moho went off
at 6 this morning . No sign of entry (though in my dressing gown and slippers I haven’t done a thorough check ).

it’s the first time in 18 months of owning it that it has happened .
Any other possible causes I should check for ?

Proximity sensors on access doors. I once knocked one out of alignment that caused a false alarm

A cold sunny morning cold inside the van the sensors can in some circumstances pick up a sudden rise in temperature caused by sunlight through windows or Chinese in blinds, they might need adjusting.

Ah all very valid , it was open two days ago so I will look for little beasties and we didn’t have the silver screen on and it is a “oh what a Beautiful morning ! “ ;-)

Mine went off at 8am. Had been going off on internal sensors so set pet mode, now showing door sensors but no sign of entry, it's a mystery

As above, had it happen to me, turns out it was as above.

Hi.
Strong winds used to set off an alarm in an estate car i once had, Remedy. Shut off the " External air circ switch " Took a while to suss out.

Rodents
Insects, especially spiders, that like to make webs over PIR lights

Our alarm was triggered a few months back by the fridge door opening. It had been left partially open as the fridge was off for the winter, and I guess the van settling on the suspension caused the door to open all the way. We have since found a catch that jams it partially open.

Argghhh!!! And again last night and again this morning at 6 - the neighbours will live us . Need to find the manual and do another check for beasties . Very tired now :-(

Flys or bugs
They have been dormant over winter but its been warm enough during the day recently for them to start to get active

Had to switch mine off as it kept going off all day yesterday.
Not only does it wake your neighbours it also phones you just to make sure your awake too.

Which alarm do you have fitted to your van ?
It’s a cobra alarm . The flashing led indicates that it’s the “other sensors “ that triggered the alarm but not the doors or the interior - I have no idea what the other sensors are ?

Try arming it using either the Fiat key or the Cobra fob, and then press the large button on the Cobra fob, it will give one beep, this disables the Cobra internal ultrasonics but leaves the door sensors active.

Seems unlikely to be beasties as it seems to have gone off at the same time. Do you have anything on a timer ? Could it be a neighbour opening his car with a remote that could be on the same bandwidth as yours ?

Don't know what Cobra system you have but i had a Cobra on one of my cars, PITA from day one. Turns out it was the battery within the unit itself that was faulty.
Wont have another Cobra system.

A previous car of ours did this occasionally - normally I would eventually find a spider inside the car. However, one ongoing set of false alarms eventually turned out to be the main car battery gradually dying - has your Van battery been very low over the lockdown ?

Make sure the sensor under the bonnet is ok, sometimes they get a bit gungy and need a bit of TLC.

Our went off this morning around 8am, I know what caused it as happened before. We took the van out a run on Saturday so stuck the dash cam on the windscreen, this morning it was lying on the floor setting off the internal sensors on the way down.

Unwired 3 micro switches , spliced the cables together . Set alarm no issues , one by one refit micro switches until faulty one found (or magnet) - now found . Van locked now with alarm on and hopefully one micro switch and battery in the post .
