I’m into my first proper solo trip in my Wildax Pulsar. Yesterday when the handbrake wasn’t properly released there were loud beeps and flashing warning on dash. It happened a few more times when it had been released though no flashing on the dash. Today bumps were causing it and, in the last few miles it was totally random. I ignore the sound and it stops....until the next time. Any ideas please.

Do you have the comformatic gearbox? That beeps in a similar way to the handbrake if you should try and move from neutral into forward or reverse without having your foot firmly on the brake. It also beeps if you turn off the engine in neutral.
The fridge may also beep (but does sound different) if on wrong power selector or if door open etc.

Sounds like it’s still a problem with the handbrake sensor.

Other causes are fridge door not shut , we had a fault and sensor was replaced and door adjusted , also got a strange beeping behind me, it was the solar controller that was faulty.

Check the handbrake switch is not loose & and the wires aren't chaffed & rubbing on the chassis.
As Brian says check brake fluid level, mine starts flashing and beeping when it's halfway between min & max.

Sounds like a loose connection on your handbrake sensor🤔

Thanks so much all. Just had a lightbulb moment. The CO alarm flashing light kept me awake so put it into a pocket in the van. In hilly country now so bumps or gradients are putting pressure on the test button. It sounded just the same!!! Thank you so much for the help.

We have a similar problem.
Mercedes Sprinter base.

I often have to pull the hand break on and off a number of times, as i left it once for half a mile or so and then got a smell of burning clutch, I have isolated it to the rear right wheel, the break appears to slightly stick sometimes.

I dont ignore my alarm, as I now know that I should not drive with the alarm sounding, it can be just a case of fiddling with it until the break releases totally.

Reminds me of a job I had to replace smoke detectors in old folks bungalow I replaced the detectors twice as they were seemingly beeping flat battery however on third visit I looked around and found a Co2 alarm hidden behind a painting hanging on the wall😂
