hi all
I had an ECU fault - diagnosed as a voltage problem and refurbed. When I plug it back in do I need to disable the battery or just plug it in. Thanks for any help. Albial.

I disabled the battery when I removed it and when I put it back.

I will disconnect the battery and refit tomorrow. Thanks everyone for all your help.

Not just disconnect the battery but then leave it for an hour or so if you can. (although this is more important when removing it).

Have you fixed the reason for the voltage problem. This could well be the engine battery not holding a charge properly.

To avoid it happening again, I would seriosly consider replacing the battery before reconnecting the ECU.

Hi everyone
I have disconnected the battery as suggested for one hour then reconnected everything. It works what a relief. I will keep an eye on the battery now.
Thanks. Albial
