After market stereo citroen relay 2014

Hi I purchased an after market stereo touch screen android type specially designed for this vehicle just plugs in and that's it
But have found can turn off engine remove key but ignition lights stay on permanently cant operate central locking after turning off ignition and head lights have to be turned off manually
Is there a way to fix does stereo need to be configured because if bot new unit is useless as have to disconnect battery then reconnect it then I can use the central locking once radio is turned back on all goes wrong again

Not head of anything like that before but if it connects to the CANBUS, the ECU may need reprogramming to accept it.
I always wire my head units to the leisure battery it avoids these sort of problems.

Sounds like you have a permanent live feed and an ignition live feed crossed somewhere

All that would do is cause the head unit to lose any programmed radio stations when the ignition was turned off.

Traditionally yes……but if a canbus adaptor is fitted to the radio, it could cause all manor of weird and wonderful things.

These little black boxes of magic communicate all kinds of things back to the vehicle ecu.

It also deals with power off, so maybe it it’s related to the commonly crossed acc + and bat +, which is frequent across manufacturers, swapping the red and yellow cables about.

Hi thanks for your replies i found it has a headlight control plug so i just left it unplugged and problem went away
