Might just be one of those “things” but I have a avtex tv and Ariel and a Ariel 12v booster - used an antenna app to point it in the right direction but I get a poor signal on itv and c4 - cracking up and all that .

Any tips appreciated

Is it good signal where you are?
Does the aerial want turning 90° for that transmitter?j

Sometimes I just can't get a signal either.

I’m getting a half bar signal on the tv (whatever that means ) but I think that I have a poor connection in one of the Ariel connnectors - will pinch them up tomorrow

I was told by a bloke at Avtex that the aerial is omnidirectional.

Don't think that makes much difference with UHF frequency connectors. The pin and hole, if not quite touching act as a capacitor and ultra high frequencies go straight through them 👌

As an alternative to TV Ariel's which seem to either work or not depending where we were, we are trying a different route.
The latest Amazon Firestick, blue toothed to Phone as a Hotspot, with a generous data package, and you will be amazed at what's available.
As long as you have a decent phone signal of course above 3G it works fine.

I once found that my poor signal was caused by a cheap coax cable from the outlet to tv... changed it and good a grey reception !

I have the Avtex aerial live in the same area as you and have never had a problem with the signal, so there may be problem with your aerial or your set up.
