Newbie but caravanning for years
The large plastic access door window has been badly damaged on our 2005 Burstner Elegance 686. The quote for a replacement is £850+😱😱
Can anyone recommend somewhere we might get a used replacement?
Or whether any of the clear epoxy type glue’s are any good?
Or whether the clear Gorilla repair tape works?
We own a hospitality business so are being effected by Covid so can tolerate it not looking good rather than have to find £850+ at the moment.
Thanks

As it's just the access door, why not get some thin plywood, or similar (if you have retained the rubber surround) shape, paint body colour and insert or try O'Leary. (other caravan/MH breakers are available) Good Luck!

Is it double glazed sealed plastic ?

Try glue for perspex, it will chemically weld bits together. Assuming its a plastic window, not glass.

I always keep a roll of clear “Gorilla” tape on board as a temporary or permanent fix to many things and it’s waterproof

I doubt that manufacturers make their own windows but buy in standard units so you may find one at caravan breaker.

Have a chat with your insurers. I was surprized a couple of years ago to find, what I thought was just a windscreen replacement policy, also covers side and roof on some??

Although I have never used them, I do know someone who had their front skylight replaced. (No, I could not believe it either!)

I was scrolling through motorhome parts on ebay this week and saw at least 2 door windows for sale. The converter doesn't make the doors (or windows) they are bought in from only a couple of suppliers
