Just got my renewal quote via Performance Direct but it's up a fair bit for no obvious reason. So looking around found a better deal through a new broker called Adrian Flux...anyone heard of them used them and are they ok?

Used them for many years and on different vehicles. Always a good price, and great to deal with for me.

I have used them for three years with no problems, competitive price and you can talk to real uk based people. I think they near Kings Lynn, Norfolk

Used Adrian Flux for my car and motorhome, never had a claim on motorhome but was hit by a third party in my car. Dealt with quickly and they seem ok. You do need to read through the small print as with any insurer. Remember they are are a broker but do provide good support.

Were with AF on our old van, no real problems. They were way out on the quote on our new van vs other quotes we got though.
Ended up going with NFU and moved our car ins to them too, but as others have said, if you're happy with the quote then go with it (y)

My comfort renewal came in yesterday, £75 less than last year. 😀

NO! Check their t&c also. They accepted my payment but then I discovered that they would only pay up to £1500 windscreen cover: not much use for an A class. They wanted to charge £25 for setting up the policy even though it was useless.

They also had rules about fire extinguishers being checked annually (good idea but who does that?) and gas habitation checks (again, a good idea but I don’t want my insurance company forcing me to do it and potentially refusing to pay my claim).

Not impressed when we made a claim when our classic vw was written off by a falling tree.Sell themselves as specialists but no clue and I spent months proving its value was actually double their initial offer.Avoid

But as I don't have an A class and didn't have a £25 set up fee then maybe that was just an issue you had with NFU?....

or was your reply referring to Adrian Flux and the OP?

I accept everyone is different but AF didn’t tell me about these factors and it was only by reading their t&c completely that I discovered things that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

A very unhappy ex-customer here, I would not piss on them if they were on fire.
Agreed ,I would not use them again.Took out insurance with them because they supplied a green card for morroco but tried to charge me £380 for an additional policy as the one they sold me did not do a green card when I needed it.i asked them to check the telephone recording when I got the quote, they replied yes we said we could give you a green card for morroco when I got the quote but we didn't speak about it when you called back to take out the policy, even though I only used the reference number to take it out without giving them any other details about myself or my van.let me down big time as I was already in Spain when they told me this,I was to call them with the dates ,when I knew I would travel over to moroc and they would email a green card with the dates on it.
They won't get any business from me again as the can't be trusted.

When AIB wanted £3500 for a policy that the previous year was £450 post theft of two other vehicles we found that premiums were sky high with other insurers. I tried Adrian Flux who were the most reasonable @ £1200 and now we are two years in the premium is coming down. The policy we have seems to read favourable to others we have had quotes from. Hopefully we can get back to the £450 range in the not to distant future.

If you originally asked for a green card when taking out the policy your request would be on that call, you can ask for the recording of that call (which they will have) you can then refer to the conversation with them, if they missed the requirement and you were explicit they should fulfill what you asked for if they do not and you are correct. Give the recording to the ombudsman.

They did check the recording and called me back, saying yes we did offer you a green card but did not confirm it when you took out the policy, even though I used the ref number.i was already 6 weeks into my winter trip and decided to stay in Portugal so decided not pursue it ,never use them again and just enjoy the rest of my time in Portugal, which was brill.

I was insured through them for my car, actual insurer was (Markerstudy). Terrible experience with them.

We are squeaky clean drivers, no points, convictions, good postcode, own driveway etc.

But We have just insured an imported car with them (little choice). First quote was £720, told them no. Wife rang up with 20+ no claims, they told her £1,000. So she said no. They rang back that afternoon and said £550 Odd that
