Adria Twin 22 models first arrival dates?

Not personally, but model dependant you may get a stock order ( ie a spec that is already ordered) Q2 onwards
I would expect a factory fresh order to be nearer 2023

My SLB is (should be) due next May. While I was chatting with the dealer to change the colour, I asked him if there was any chance to get it in time.
He didn't reply.

My local dealer, Dyce Caravans have their first one arriving next week (not mine, unfortunately).

Mondo74 That’s good then. Ours should be arriving anytime now but having been told I had to change my van colour just over a week ago, no metallic colours now available at this time, I guess I won’t get it anytime soon. If you get to know what model & colour comes I would like to know as now there are only 3 solid colours available in the Twins

Mondo74 That will be good. I would love a photo of the full front end and dashboard as this is the area where the new 22 model changes are and due to pandemic some things are not going to be there that should be there unfortunately. Also some things that don’t seem to be answerable e.g. it is described as having black lights, even if they are not the LED ones that should be there. A black bottom if the grill I think, but didn’t quite understand and a whole new grille. New dash with digital instruments? WiFi charging shelf electric brake & a bit different trim. If it is an auto box it should have different wheels to the manual. If your able to help with photos that would be very much appreciated.
I can’t wait for ours, it’s like having your legs cut off when you are vanless when used to spending 150 nights away a year
Regards Roy

I’ll take plenty photos. My understanding is that the one Dyce are getting is quit highly specced and may even have dole stuff that isn’t available as option from Adria now that they have sorted their options list for UK

It’s not the Adria options that are the problem it is the fact Fiat cannot get the parts Re semi conductors or even metallic paint now to produce the van as it was intended ☹️

The same as most vehicle manufacturers world wide

Please share the photos here….

We were at Chelston today to view the ‘2022’ range (including ‘our’ Compact Supreme SC).

It’s apparent that the models being displayed around the country are a mix’n’match of pre-production 2022 versions with some on Fiat 2021 base vehicles and others on the 2022.

Have to say that once I took in the differences, where noticed on the 2022 - digital dash, electric handbrake, so no fouling of the driver’s seat - they were positive improvements.

Many dealers seem to do that, basically confusing everyone by putting up signs and ads on MY2021 but describing them as 2022. A genuine Fiat Ducato MY2022 should come with the new dash, new front, new features - if not, it's still a MY2021 no matter what the signs or ads say..

So, I had a look round the 640 SLB today. Like a lot of these demo vans, it was a bit of a hodge podge of old, new and non option bits. It had the 10” screen and climate control which are not currently available as Adria options but didn’t have the electronic handbrake or mobile charging pad that I’d have expected it to have.

I tell you what though - it was by far the most comfy campervan bed I’ve ever been on.

Iron Grey is really nice - pity it’s currently unavailable.

I saw a Lanzarote Grey Swift 122 at the Expo - not nearly as nice IMHO. The swift had the standard new style dash though with 7” screen and analogue dials against digital screen. Still no electronic handbrake though.

I was going to ask about that 10" screen; explains it now !

Also I see it has LED Lights which have been dropped from the 2022 models. But electronic handbrake and mobile charging pad are in the 2022 models (at the moment anyway).

I know what you mean about Iron Grey that was the colour I ordered - but have had to change it to Lanzarote Grey :-( Expect I will get use to it.

Was this just a demo van or was it actually for sale ?

Thanks for the photos Mondo74 Its a bit bizarre really with what’s on offer to what this dealer has just received. I think I’m resigned to just seeing what arrives and if it’s not as ordered then negotiate a price change

Our friends new one is Iron Grey and whilst it look very nice, similar to our car, it’s too dark for us in a van

It was a simple case of Adria ordering whatever units Fiat had ready to go just to get some Demo units out to dealers.

It’s a Demo that they’ll sell once there’s a flow of vans. They understandably want to have something to show customers.

Many manufacturers build to order. So every vehicle has a designated owner before the first panel is even stamped out (even if that's just a forecourt dealer). But when a manufacturer starts building a new model, the first few hundred are often deliberately built to have a range of features to test that nothing odd occurs (like a wiring loom for a specific satnav interfering with a right hand drive steering column making production slow). And some build combinations are harder, so aren't available until later. They basically give production a good shakedown. Lots of these early run vehicles end up going to journalists, for crash testing, or for dealer demo vehicles. But some do end up available for their biggest customers. Yes, they can have odd specs...

Did he say it was a demo van and not ordered stock?

The ones I’ve seen doing the rounds of dealerships are all a hodgepodge of 21 and 22 pre-production features so when the 22 models do finally start showing up we may well find they are as advertised- fingers crossed!

Latest news from Adria is that our van, which was originally due in November, now has a guesstimate date of end of March 2022! That’s a big change and this is only guesswork. Once it is actually on the start of the production they will give a new guesstimate date of 30 days hence.

I guess I will only know when I will get it is when it physically arrives, they seem to be keeping their options to delay fully open and less customer focus on adequate information in advance ☹️ This difficulty of information lies solely with Adria, so it’s no good blaming the dealers as they can only tell you what they have been told.

On the plus side, not really knowing what Adria are actually doing, or where they are coming from, it could even arrive earlier than predicted. I hope not later, that would be a real disappointment. The real disappointment is the lack of detailed information or explanation of what is going on. I’ve never spent so much money before with such little information.

Thanjs for that youres a pvc or a moho? As you say a lot of money to be kept a little in the dark even a guesstimate would help

Well mine, Twin Supreme 600, was due in December 2021, now "forecast" for 3rd April 2022. so we have a guesstimate and we will see when it turns up.

We ordered in aug for 8 april can only wait n see now

We have a 5th April date, delayed from last Autumn, and are really hoping our Supreme 600 gets delivered on that timetable now.

Just heard my 600SPB due April 21st. Dealer seems fairly confident should be on time.
