Just got our new van in June and old van was way too old for this stuff lol sooo o question is how much adblue should a Ducato 2.3 140 automatic use against mileage or kilometres .
We have used litre to cover 235km . As it’s new does it sound right ?

Agree sounds too much . Adblue should only go into the system when the engine working hard.
Its a bit early to draw a definite conclusion, suggest you check it after you've don about 4k

Not 100% on the Fiat's as they have only just started using it. I know with the Relay and Boxer from my commercial days should be roughly 12000 miles a tank of AdBlue.

If you have poodling around locally ,not thrashing it then it will use far more than sitting on an mway .

Fill it up and forget about it....is what i done, you know you will be good for 1000's of miles, and just loose 20kg of payload (most tanks hold up to 20L

Sounds very hight to me as well.

There is a calculator on the total website.

I put some figures in.

Just reading, AdBlue is over 60% water ( deionised) someone is having a laugh ain't they?

Wife's car 2 litre Octavia diesel, 12,000 miles for first top up.

Our 13 litre 460hp truck does around 55km/litre.......but only paying 25p/litre so not a fortune considering the improved fuel economy.

Fill her up and forget about it til the warning light comes on then our van gives us 1500 miles of annoying orange light and it presumably goes red at some stage.

Look out locally for an ad blue filling station at a petrol station of a Le clerc station. Try to fill up there as substantially cheaper than buying it in 5 litre containers inside Le clerc.

Dont spill any !!!

Thanks everyone . Never thought about the extra weight ! And as we have downsized big time is more important .

it's only water, pee (urea) and blue dye, so with the price some places really are taking the piss

No blue dye in the stuff we buy at work in1000 litre containers for our vehicles

I drive one with adblue and one with out, no idea what they use as no means of measuring it. I know that the bloke with a newer Volvo said he puts more in then his older one, but that is a bit of guess work as no means of measuring.

I just did a rough estimate, about 200 litres a month and around 7000 miles.

Do you get those 1000 litre tanks with a pipe on or buy at the pump ? There no measuring on diesel either so no idea if it’s using much.

We get most of the adblue and diesel from the firm that we sub for, anything else is always invoiced so I can keep track of things.

But the new Fiats with Adblu only have 60litre fuel tanks as opposed to 90

75 Lt fuel tank with an option of 90Lt, is the standard Fiat offerings you only get the 60 Lt when converters are struggling for payload.

Depends on chassis I think. Light is 60l, heavy is 90l

Think adblue use is roughly 5% of diesel use. + - a % or so load dependant

My 2018 Fiat Ducato 130 BHP Diesel Euro 6 = ZERO ADBLUE

My VW Caddy does. I have put in 10 litres of Adblue in 8500 miles over 3 n arf years. Gauge says Adblue top up in 2500 miles.

Nope, 90 Lt was standard on heavy & light chassis with a 120 Lt long range option up until the Euro 6d with Add Blue which has a 75 Lt as standard on both chassis with an option of a 90 Lt long range tank.
