Anyone travelling along the A75 between Dumfries and Annan this weekend allow yourself some extra time.

Mine also one of my favorite Aires at Campregnac just off the A75 and fantastic for night photography and star gazing.
Néed good brakes to get there, but we'll worth it for the views.

Been there! Loved the area. Tarn gorges etc. Might head back this year just for the wild cherries.

Me to the only A75 I know.

Came along the A75 yesterday after getting off the ferry from Ireland and heading south. That diversion will cause huge delays I would think with lots of people missing their ferry as there is no other sensible route from/to the South and there are so many HGVs.

I sometimes go Dumfries to Lockerbie if the traffic is heavy, not a lot further and we can use the services on M74

Think that would be my choice if I was lucky enough to be coming up this week

That’s what I’d recommend doing, it only adds a few miles to your trip.

A75 Gretna-Stranraer Road closed both ways at the moment due to lorry tipped over just west of Dumfries.
