On site this morning, ugly (IMO) but very clean and obviously well loved...

Saw an Integra like that but trimmed with gold rather than black when we took ours back to EuraMobil for some work in 2019. I thought the front end design a bit odd so asked about it and they said it has a very low drag coefficient as the airflow is steered round the side of the van rather than caught under the overcab as with ours. They have substantially softened the front end since so I guess it did not overwhelm the bulk of the public.

Many motorhomes are ugly but owners don’t seem to agree. The library bus, with tiny inset wheels, or the very odd looking new homers that look like some has shoved an upside down boat on top.

I think it's got some character. Not just a slab front. Stripes aren't needed. It's highlighted one matter, for me. It seems to be relevant to many. Why do they use bog-standard van mirror surrounds/casing.

But at least they are cheaper and easier to source if required when something happens.
Yes but if they made a better looking one for when the moho was new, the user would then have the choice of replacing that one like-for-like or to go for the cheaper more ugly (imv) one. Cost wouldn't need to be different with scale economies/mass-production being involved .

Agree, we do often think of vehicles as having 'faces'. I think vehicle designers spend some time thinking about this.

In this case they went for something maybe a bit weak-chinned with an overbite.

Maybe it's just Euramobil's posh model?

I like things that are a bit different, the mud guards look like individual items, if so maybe easier to repair?

But they don’t. They make a small number of odd mirrors that a couple of years later can’t be sourced, and screw the owner of the older.
