Right, the man from the place I hope to hire has got back to me.

He wants to know if we are allowed to lift a manhole for access to the drains to dispose of black waste. I do this at home but we have private drainage. Anyone know if we would be allowed to do this on a public sewerage system?

EDIT: Also asked elsewhere on the forum as a new topic as not everyone who knows will read this post

My DA has done this many times, including on a very deep main sewer

Hi got our name down on the Falkirk list, and would definitely like to go on all the other lists of meets up in Bonney Scotland please when they are released, only hope I don't miss them as I am still in Spain and not always got internet. .

Def Interested in Kelso and maybe Millport- but is that midge hell?. We are more likely to be at the end of our Scottish trip in June (due to midge avoidance) so Wick and Orkney would be too late for us.

TBH In general the west coast does get more midges but it all depends on the weather.
We have been over 3 times this year and rarely saw a midge. Pot luck really.

Nothing back from the landowner I have been emailing in Kelso. I think he probably needs to ask the management committee of the people who use the facility over the winter to see what they think.

At least he hasn't said no - yet.

@Puddleduck Could be a case of no news is good news. I've learned not to expect speedy replies. Ask for an update next week, gee them up. Usually moves a long a bit.
