We are here for 24 hours, what should we go and see?

Currently on an aire just a 15 minute tram ride from the centre. Unfortunatey, over the road is the Fiat Motor Musum, I have to come up with something better to visit than that, otherwise I am doomed! :Eeek:

The red light district has got to be more interesting than the Fiat museum Sandra. just saying like.
PS Keep your money/cards where they cant be lifted i.e. in Colins under crackers.

Turin was a lovely city to visit, as it turned out.

Easy to get into the centre from the aire, tram, shops and cafes are all dog friendly, although ours is a small dog and I carried her on the tram.

The old buildings in the piazzas are stunning and we were lucky enough to get chatting to a young Italian chap who knew quite a bit of the history of Turin. Apparently it used to be the capital of Italy, for a short time. The whole place is less frantic than Rome and the prices were definitely more laid back.

Hi all.

My other half is from the Turin area. Have been traveling to and from for many years. I would suggest spring and early Autumn for your travels. Famous for the rice in your risotto, fine wine, the Italian Alps. And only 90 mins from Lake Garda and Como etc. Unfortunately l don't know of any particular sites to recommend but l am sure you will have a good selection to choose from on the web.
Ciao and enjoy...

Thanks for you input but I am afraid you have fallen into the 'Old Thread Revival trap'. However, I am sure your info will be useful to others.

We did enjoy our brief visit to Turin and look forward to returning one day.
