Looking for some help for a motorhome newbie please?

I have just purchased a 2006 Elddis Autoquest 150 on a Peugeot Boxer 2.2d chassis. It was serviced before I picked it up and I noticed that the service indicator (spanner icon) is showing. I looked in the handbook and the instruction to reset it were:

Place the ignition key in the MAR position (1st notch) and wait until the spanner stops flashing.

Press the trip recorder re-set button for five seconds.

The distance remaining to the next service is displayed.

Press the trip distance recorder zero reset button for five seconds to store the operation in the memory.

I did all that (twice) but the service indicator is still on. Two things to note are 1) the spanner icon doesn't flash and 2) the distance to service is showing as 0mls

Hoping someone out there can help me out, but please be patient with me as I'm a 70year old and some days it really shows!

Thank you in advance.

Two service indicated one on time the other on mileage Had to have my 2010 Boxer done at garage as it a plug in job

There may be a button for resetting on the dash ,under the fuel gauge, as 2006 was a model change year and you may have the X244 model (X250 is the later version using the stalk on the steering column for changes)

Try this sequence instead .... and more info at the other end of the link.

How to reset service light indicator Peugeot Boxer Van.

  1. Switch the ignition OFF.
  2. Depress and hold the trip meter (mileage/km reset) button on the dash.
  3. Turn to ON the ignition, do not start the car.
  4. Keep the trip meter button pressed down for 10 seconds.
  5. After 10 seconds the display will read “= O″.
  6. Release the odometer button.
  7. Switch OFF the ignition and then ON to check if it was reset.
