I own a 2001 2800 cc Hymer / Fiat Ducato jtd. It recently developed a slipping clutch after 50,000 miles and this was replaced as soon as lockdown permitted by our local garage.
The vehicle now has a pronounced engine judder when under load and being driven 35-40 mph in 4th gear. No problem is apparent at other speeds or gears. The judder goes away if you put your foot on the clutch suggesting that wheel balance is not the problem.
Is it possible that the new clutch is faulty in some way. Or is the judder more likely to be worn driveshaft bearings or engine mounts (though neither of these were giving any trouble before the new clutch was fitted).
I would appreciate any views on this matter before I raise the issue with my garage.
