Swift Suntour 590 rs
Looking at 2 older motorhomes...so any experience and peoples opinions would be appreciated.

1st Is a 2002 Swift Sundance 590 rs... low mileage (36,000 miles)
2nd is a 2002 Pilote Galaxy G40 more mileage (78,000)

Now i know this is a bit of a crazy question so many different reasons but id just like to throw it out there see what people think....

Having had a 2001 Swift Sundance 590RS I'd say go with the Pilote. Are these the ones you're considering?

Pilote unless it was twice the price!

Think I would prefer a van used regularly than one with low low miles....!

The cab on the swift might be starting to rust too.

Looks like the Swift has spent most of its life standing around even the Pilote is very low mileage for the year I would prefer something that has been used far less lightly to get problems with a van that has been used.
The Pilote will be far less lightly to have damp problems I wouldn't want to risk a Swift of that age.

Goody, it means that those who are more in the know will be able to look and give more specific advice on each model - I've never had a Pilote but have been in them and they certainly are better built than a Swift plus it's an A-class too which is a bonus as these usually cost a lot more when bought new.

Yes, they were quite 'flimsy' IMV, certainly nothing like the Pilote which is where the OP's licence may come into play.

use this site with the van's registration to check whether it has a history of being neglected between MOTs or rust

If the same fail keeps showing, it indicates that maintenance has been neglected
