Swift 164
On collecting my new Swift campervan the bathroom leaked water into the living area the dealer fixed it but it happened again only hours later The dealer fixed it and modified the pipes .now I have a safety recall from Swift re faulty seat frame issues. A swift engineer is to visit my home in Wales to rectify in 4weeks time Along with the drooping window blinds and the razor sharp edges to the cooker razor sharp edges to the cooker ,we are not off to a good start The van now ten days old obviously bypassed Swift quality control if there is any not bad for a £65k investment amI alone or are there others out there with issues on a brand new van?

You the customer are the quality control checker for both Swift and your dealer. If you sorted the issues yourself then both companies are happy,if you report them back ,yes they will get fixed eventually and it's still cheaper than employing someone to check for faults and having to rectify at source.
You are within your rights to reject the van ,but then you would have to wait for another.

Any new buyer would expect to have a snagging list I am sorry to say. How your dealer sorts it is the most important thing. I hope they make it easy for you and don’t put your needs to the back of the queue now they have your money.

I wouldn't worry too much just yet. Just let the dealer fix them. At least they seem to be doing that. Like a little house, it's not unusual to get some snags.

Don't let this spoil the excitement and enjoyment of your new toy.
