Im sure that this will benefit some people but have to admit I just checked the price the week after next as we have 10 days off and are still not sure if we will stay UK side or go to France.

Eurotunnel £353 with discount
Irish Ferries £193 with discount

I think eurotunnel have to try a hell of a lot harder if they genuinely want to compete.

I always travel late evening out,and mid morning back,and I got £268 with the discount.
Have you tried different times.
That was mid April though.

I chose the cheapest each way for my dates, you will have tried different dates than me hence the difference in price.
More telling would be if you were to use your dates where you got 268 on eurotunnel and apply the same to Irish ferries to see the diffence in service price rather than your dates and my dates.

I just tried Irish Ferries, and best price was £207.16.
Still a saving ,but not enough .

I am lucky as can be flexible with dates .

I don’t think it’s a con , just not all times/dates discounted.
I did a test booking and it came out less than when I had checked a couple of weeks ago.

DFDS: £298

Guess we will be sailing again!

Always find the CMC offers the best prices for ferries and the tunnel. Only downside is any amendments need to be made via them with a £20 admin fee. If you keep to your planned dates good savings can be made.

Just tried end of march, and indeed the outward trip was slightly cheaper but can you believe it? The inward was dearer and the two together were just the same as without the voucher.
