Anyone know how the bottom socket of the pic shown comes off, the hella shaped one? I want to split off another connection to the other side of the bed but need to get to the wiring. Can't seem to see how I can get to the back of this as it's all enclosed. Read that on some the front pops off but this seems pretty tight if it does. I never use either of these sockets
Thanks

The outer trim pops off exposing a couple of screws

yes, use a plain table knife to avoid damage.

A slim flat blade between the light and dark bits and lever off.
The light bit stays in place, the bezel pops off.
Remember, it's a 10a fuse so the combined load of 5he two sockets must be 10a maximum or less.

Thanks will give it a go now I know it definitely pops off. Didn't want to damage it.

Treat yourself to one of the kits to get things like this off, they're available on Ebay for a couple of quid.
Got lots of sacrificial plastic items to avoid damaging your treasured surfaces.
I even keep on in the car for the bumper towing eye cover (anyone tried getting one of those off?).

:giggle: You have more patience than me, ;) if it got to the point we needed to use the towing eye and then it wanted a turn of being a pain in the @r$e, it would feel the sharp end of our can opener on it's derier.
Mike.

I've got some at home but as always I never have what I need when I decide to do it lol

You may find a recess on one of the sides of the darker outer casing, where the casing sits against the veneer. If so, then this is where you should be able to insert a blunt knife or fine screwdriver to pull the casing away.

Also worth knowing that towing eyes are left hand threaded. Not sure why they are but very frustrating when you don't know!o_O

Ours is conventional right hand thread on a 2011 Ducato
So worth trying both ways if having difficulty!
The reason I believe is due to the way rope and cable is twisted and having a tendency when under load to unscrew a right hand thread.
