Still a newbie
Hi
Looking for suggestions for a wardrobe rail that we could fit in the seperate shower, in a camper that we are currently looking at.
Maybe someone has an unusual set up that I haven't thought of.
Thanks

She took 12 dresses on our last tour & used......none of them
This is the reason we no longer have a wardrobe, and instead have a very useful now cupboard of shelves. Obviously my wife not yours 👍🏻

I’m sure my wife finds a space, and thinks. “What can I fill that with” 🙄🙄

Our shower room has all the dogs gear in it- sacks of food, drying coats, cool coats, warm coats, harnesses, collars, leads, treats, shampoo, spare towels etc etc. Has never been used as a shower in 15 yrs!
However, the external shower came in very useful for the first time at the start of the week when the dog ran through the blackest dirty water ever. No kidding, it looked like he was coated in oil initially. However, lots of hot water and bubbles and he came up all clean again! 👍🐶🐶

Doesn't anybody shower any more? What a mess.
There was me thinking it was toilet cassettes that caused the smell. Perhaps we need door stickers that say “Safe To Approach We Shower Regularly”. 😀(just joking).

Dogs toy box, food and drink bowls and fruit n veg basket. Puts you off showering a bit - too much palaver but can’t leave all that space empty now cab I?

Do you all have large vans with separate loos and showers?!!

I have reached an age where I almost always need a pee in the middle of the night. It is bad enough, half awake, having to climb down a ladder off the transverse double but having to fight my way past a rail of clothes. No way!!

I will, however, get round to fitting a rail for hanging up wet outdoor clothes. That makes perfect sense!

P.S. I am still working on a step/steps to replace the ladder. One day when "well oiled" middle of the night I foresee slipping off the ladder and breaking or spraining an ankle!!

I’ve used ikea bathroom suction fittings for a rail, containers and even attached an ikea plastic shelf to wall using micro bungees and the suction fittings, these have been up since last sept and none have moved! I can still use the loo, dry my towels out of the way and wash my hair over the shower tray - the rest is strip washes or use showers on site. I just couldn’t bear all that space going to waste!!!

You do have to wonder whether the moho designers ever use their creations and find out how little we use the shower as a shower. In the real world we are constantly short of space. In the real world we need somewhere for our chairs and assorted parephnalia. Its hard to imagine the CEO of say Autosleeper spending his weekends in a field, maybe he should.

The little silly straw comment's above rather prove that. Obviously it depends on how you use the vehicle and yes we have used it, but rarely tbo, we tend to go for a regular site every few days and wash clothes and shower. Many stay on sites, and use the site showers im sure, not all sit in fields indefinitely.

One of the design features of a lot of motorhomes I dislike is a separate shower. Not liking to ‘go large’ and preferring <7m vans it really is a waste of valuable space and not very clever design.
Our 2014 B544 gives us the choice of toilet/hand basin or shower cubicle with a simple moving screen/wall, saving space for other things (decent sized wardrobe) in a 6.6m long van.

But then how do you explain the hundreds if not thousands of van I’ve seen in Aires abroad where there are no facilities, and often during the winter/off season when there are not campsites open.

Maybe it is just a UK thing where people use sites as Aires aren’t an option. But to me if you use sites and stick to the UK a motorhome is a waste a caravan would be better.

Our shower is used every day, by both of us, every time we use the van.

We specifically went for the separate toilet/shower as we do use both daily and it's a lot more comfortable. This does mean a longer vehicle though - 7,42M.

I’m the other way. Only interested in two separate areas for two separate jobs. I don’t want everything dripping wet or have to move stuff all the time. Swinging walls, and dropping down basins just cause pipe failures, and poor use.

it’s a good job that the vans aren’t all the same.

Look at raised pool steps, they are lightweight and easy to move and have proper foot plates so easier to use.

I wouldn’t even look at a van without a shower. Perhaps a motorhome manufacturer CEO doesn’t camp in a field but I bet they do more market research on what buyers want than you have done.
