Daftest question of the day winging it's way over to me!

We have a MH on a Peugeot Boxer (2008 plate) and can't for life of me find anywhere in the handbook whether it's a cam belt or chains.

Other than getting myself under the bonnet/chasis/wherever its hidden/located, I thought may be someone may know, please?

TIA

My 2012 Boxer has the Ford Puma engine which has a chain, have a look around the engine, if it’s the Puma then it says so somewhere.

Mine's a 2 litre 2020. I'd heard they use a Ford engine. I guess they must use a variety of engines.

My 2010 Peugeot Boxer 2.2 has a camchain. If you stick your head under the front bumper, look at the oil filter you will see 'Ford' cast into the oil filter housing on the camchain engines.

Hi all,
Currently looking at an Autocruise Stardream based on a 2.2 (2178cc) Peugeot Boxer 330LX swb HDI. I believe this may have a cam belt rather than a chain but can anyone confirm either way please? Many thanks.

Ours is an Autocruise Accent 2010 2.2 and it says Ford on the filter housing and Puma in several places, are you supposed to get a new chain or just adjusted, just bought ours and it hasn't been done, it's had new auxiliary belts not to long ago.

The chain on our Renault is supposedly good for 200,000 miles. They usually start to rattle a bit when they need replaced.

Supposedly good for 250k+- There is no adjustment as the tensioner is hydraulic from the engine oil pressure & why you should never attempt to tow start them.
The chain & adjusters can be changed when necessary.Youi will also need a new metal cam chain cover .
Mine has around 185,000 miles on it at the moment.(307,000kms)
