I’m sorry. He does want to upgrade, but can’t afford it until he has worked for the summer. Sorry to get your hopes up.

I never use my phone for calls, I don’t call anyone and nobody likes me so I don’t get calls,.... oh, except from the nice people that tell me I’ve had an accident

I have the same problem but periodically empty my phone and back it up to an external hard drive.

Apple ain’t stupid, no data sim available to insert so it’s either cough up for a bigger capacity, or buy some iCloud space.

Have to agree Samsung and android are excellent but like the OP , I have and love anither Apple product so it makes sense to have the phone compatible.
