We stayed at simat and went to the free monastery about a pitching wedge away.
It was started in 1298 and various bits at various times were added including being overseen by the Borgas. It fell into disrepair and was bought by Valencia who have returned several previously claimed goodies.
But the bit that caught my eye is they made a Tintin film here. Or that's what I understood in the french translation

Then a cycle through tavernes to the beach but it is all the same view of ring surrounded by forests of orange trees from tarmacced roads.
But the town had a Fallas !

And they closed this road off for a game of 3 a side fistball or something similar

We moved on later in the afternoon as it was getting hazy to another via verde as we try to work out how to get home
