Can you guys recommend anything to get tree branch scratches out of plastic windows.

I've got a little buffer but my polish for the bodywork isn't abresive enough to polish the scratch out. Would you recommend Ferecla G103?

Any tips welcome

Al

have used it in many applications over years aviation , visors and headlamps, works well

Well i've just ordered some of the Greygates plastic stuff..........

but, a customer of mine who owns a dental school, many years ago gave me a box of Sensodyne Pro-enamel tooth paste samples which i've never used until today. Wow!!!!!

My teeth are like, well nothing has changed , but the bloody plastic windows on the moho are just superb and i'd say look better now than when we purchased it brand new.

I've done one of the bedroom windows and half the otherside one before my rechargeable buffer ran out but what a difference, i'm chuffed to bits with a big smile on my face, and its not to show my pearly whites :ROFLMAO:

So I can thoroughly recommend toothpaste, not sure if its got to be the pro-enamel stuff, but its certainly done the trick for me (y)(y)

and it smells nice whilst your buffing away and certainly gives you a refreshing sensation ;)

No but the windows smell nice 🤣

Actually yes I did, ok it took a bit longer than I thought but it did the trick and I certainly can’t complain.

What it’s also done is removed all the swirl marks you get when just washing the Moho, the offside one looks brand new again and the near side one will look the same tomorrow.

I’ll probably wait for the Greygates stuff to arrive to see if it’s any quicker but not sure if it can be better but will report back.

The usb rechargeable buffer for 15quid off Temu and spare pads, around a tenner, is great as well, being light and portable it’ll be stored in the mojo somewhere for future along with the toothpaste 👍 😀

I am going to try my DA polisher and some light grit cutting compound on the swirl marks.
Luckily we dont have any deep scratches.

Greygate's Plastic Polish?

Good grief, that takes me back a good few years, ie, in the RAF Fire Service we used it to clean and polish our Aircraft Crash Firefighting Helmets. It's great stuff, but I've not seen it since late 86. ;)

Thanks for the Temu link Al n Val. Have just ordered both items and will get to work, using toothpaste, on the swirls on my windows when they arrive.

That’s what we’re all here for to help each other out so no problem at all 👍

If I could send you a link to free toothpaste as well I would 😉🤣

Nope

It’s all my own work 😉👍
You mean, you got a tube of Colgate and buffed a Perspex window, probably breaking out in a sweat and stood in the heat of the day, on step ladders and you could have relaxed in a deck chair, watching the wife do it, while you sipped on a ice cold beer.. I’m lost for words.

By the way, your windows look brand new like mirrors almost, so good they are reflecting your neighbours underwear in the Glass.. big girl your neighbour isn’t she..

Isn't that tree rather large for a (not very big) back garden of a terraced house?

You mean these trees, (pic taken in the autumn btw).

They are the vain of my life and ruin everything around them, they belong to the local council children’s home and the church.

The one to the left is on the corner of the homes carpark, it about 20ft higher than our house, it’s leaning towards us and dying at the tips. It drop branches on our driveway, all the sap makes our window cills and paths go black and it covers everything including cars and our moho with a lovely sticky sap.
