Does it have a gas hob?I have been recently looking at the spec of a MH with a Tec fridge and oven on top. The oven has no grill.
We do not use campsites and EHU, so how does one grill steaks, chops etc., or brown tops of other dishes?
Is there such a thing as a free-standing gas grill? Not BBQ.
Don't know how much cooking you do Geoff, but most pan cooked foodstuff will brown in a pan, as for browning on the top, like cheese topped or similar toppings or coatings, you can use a Kitchen blowtorch...this adds to the taste and appearance......yes you might see me on masterchef this year..I have been recently looking at the spec of a MH with a Tec fridge and oven on top. This would be my thought tooDon't know how much cooking you do Geoff, but most pan cooked foodstuff will brown in a pan, as for browning on the top, like cheese topped or similar toppings or coatings, you can use a Kitchen blowtorch...this adds to the taste and appearance......yes you might see me on masterchef this year..![]()
Yes, but the same end result can be achieved by a judicious combination of dry frying (or griddling), oven cooking and flame (chefs blowtorch)Except for fishplug most answers so far have been recommendations using conduction heat, not radiation heat, as in grilling, for steaks, chops etc.
The MH in question had a fridge with a simple oven on top- surely no room to replace with a Duplex or similar? The most sensible option would probably be to remove the existing oven and replace it with something like the Thetford Duplex oven and grill or the CAN FO5010.
These would have the benefit of not taking up any additional space.
If you have a combined hob/oven at the moment then there are other 'all in one' options that also include a grill.
I'm guessing my old Voyager would be too small for you as it's only got a two burner hob which is fine in a PVC but you'd probably want something bigger in an A Class.
It's available if it's of interest though.
Outside of my experience I'm afraid. Just bouncing ideas around. The MH in question had a fridge with a simple oven on top- surely no room to replace with a Duplex or similar?
Then may I suggest you Dine out Geoff..Except for fishplug most answers so far have been recommendations using conduction heat, not radiation heat, as in grilling, for steaks, chops etc.
