I thought that they had heavier duty ones - I queried it with SAP as my van is 5.3 tonnes and right on the limit for the smaller onesYou say your van is N+B in your profilethe HY4 system will only support up yo 6t so if it's a Flair you would struggle, there are a lot more E+P systems around than the AL-KO so they must be OK, a lot of the selling points for the AL-KO system I just don't get as they seem to be offering solutions to problems that don't exist.
Thank you all, it is the iSmove, so not a weight issue to lift. But payload to consider.

I’m on a sprinter chassis not Al-ko which might be itThe AL-KO website quotes 6t but you are OK with E+P for weight as they do various different rams, likewise HPC.
Hi Duck the AL-KO is in reference to the manufacturer of the HY4 system rather than the chassis.I’m on a sprinter chassis not Al-ko which might be it
HPC is quoted at 40kgHpc blurb just says lighter because of aluminium. How does weight compare with E&P?
I think you are correct in saying that there is not much to choose between HPC and E+P, the one that stands out as being different is the AL-KO HY4 system as instead of a central pump unit it uses a smaller pump at each corner, personally I think it just adds unnecessary complication, although I agree the corner weighing is a good tool, or is it a gimmick? I think Goldschmitt have something similar on a single pump set up.HPC is quoted at 40kg
E&P at 55kg
Unless you are really tight on payload, I don’t think that the 15kg will make a massive difference, but we went for HPC because it had the same functionality for a smaller weight and price, and Bristol is within reach for us. LNB did a fine job, even manufacturing a neat mounting plate for the hydraulic pump so it could be installed in our garage.
TBH, I think most of the systems are very similar and do the same job, so it’s down to personal choice.
Absolutely. We haven’t had that issue either, but, as funflair says, I would use the manual back-up pump if so.Only had E&P for 10 years so far, but never had that issue or heard of any friends with similar, if I had a problem I would read the instructions and pull them up manually.
