Overnight stays by motorhome users could soon be allowed in council car parks on parts of the Northumberland coast. (1 Viewer)

The pre booking is a little strange. It will work for some but we tend to find somewhere to stay on the day we want it. That is quite often early enough in the day to book if booking on the day of use is acceptable.

Nice to see they are trying but they are saying you can only pre book and pay online. They really don't understand Motorhomers.
I would guess that it is a consequence of the limited number of spaces available and would avoid problems with/for people turning up to find the car park full and have nowhere else to go.
It will work for some
Yes, it isn't every motorhomer that can't plan in advance for a single night, especially if they have planned to visit a particular area anyway.

If the spaces are prebooked and properly marked out it at least ensures you don't get that aire where everyone has parked just less than a motorhome apart so they get space for a table and chairs and theres no room left!
