Site price hikes ?

There will be some reduction in visitors from abroad which might reduce some of the demand. If, as suggested in some quarters, the lockdown for over 70s continues into next year then there could well be some gaps in the demand. Bit too early to see how things might progress.

I believe they will stay the same or even drop as sites will be battling for the custom to recoup lost revenue so far this year.
The worry will be for those that have to close later in the year due to council regs.

Why all this panic about sites being full in the UK. Surely it's better to go to mainland Europe assuming travel restrictions are lifted. There is much more space and easier to get lost in the wilds away from other people.

What about if you both work and want to have a few long weekends away?

Why invent a potential problem, there are enough real ones out there at present.
CL's and Cs's will still be there along with Britstops etc,
Never had a problem yet, and those of us who think outside the box never will.
If we do need a site for a night for services then we will happily pay,

People can speculate all they want, but until it happens you will never know.

The question is whether people will want to go away, join the crowds so early after lockdown, or will try and keep away from the crowds.
Then as people have said, are the prices dropped to get the custom, or hike the price up to make up for lost revenue.

So what will you do if travel restrictions to Europe are not lifted till end of year. Keep M/H sorned till then.
Done the Europe thing but owing to not being able to get travel insurance at a price I could afford it is far cheaper to stay in UK. And yes I have tried several insurers and been refused by some.
Just love sitting with wife by a lovely lake and us both fishing now than going on 2000 mile trips.

TBH I don't mind if they do.

Some, many, if not all businesses will have suffered financial hardship as well have their staff.

If small increases in prices see them back to financial stability I would be happy to pay any extra.

My spending habits will be changing. If companies that I use are shown to have exploited their staff in any way they will lose my trade. For example the rumours of Witherspoon's sacking staff early will mean no more Steak Club.

I will chat with the baristas in Starbucks, if they were not treated fairly my coffee drinking will swap to the small independent coffee shop close to home.

Too right. I do hope that the businesses that suffer are those that didn't do 'the right thing'.

I really don't think borders will re-open any time soon... and certainly not before any national restrictions are lifted.

what's the bet that sites will be charging higher rates
If you're a betting man, then get a few of the CAMC vouchers... then your site prices will be at a 20% discount!

I think that the small independent shops would gain more from your custom... Starbucks seems to be doing OK.

Although we had planned a couple of non-UK breaks this year I think we've more or less decided to shelve them and instead, when allowed, do some more UK touring, something we've neglected a little.

Van insurance renewal came through this morning - think I'll be reducing the annual mileage.

I generally use club or independent sites dearer than cs or cls, I go to sites close to where I want to go, however due to a drop in investment income will probably have to change, probably to temporary holiday sites as will probably use my own facilities all summer if allowed out the house.

'When' this is all over and we're allowed out, what's the bet that sites will be charging higher rates
Please god, that’s your biggest “worry” over the next few weeks
