Amboise (1 Viewer)

Hi All
Does anyone know if the aire at Amboise is OK for a 8.7m van I would like to stop there. It is Amboise 2 in all the aires book. If not is anything suitable nearby in a town or village. Thanks

We were there earlier this year, the one on the island (2) is not suitable and is limited to 7m.
Also the adjacent camp site does not take tag axles.
Can't recommend any close by as we moved on to Samur.

The signage does state 7m, however, you won't have any problem we are over 9m and Tow a Car and have stayed on this Aire a number of times without any issues.
It's a long line of placements with a grit road in front with no problem reversing in and all are at least 10/11m deep.

The Aire overlooks the Campsite, Hot Air Balloon launch site behind the Aire, (have a flight) Acres of Parkland, minutes to Amboise Centre, Fabulous Chateau, Shopping,Cafes,Restaurants. Enjoy.

You were very lucky then! We've been turned away from there twice.

We couldn't believe it the first time it happened so went back a couple of years later to have the same thing happen again.

Indeed it is. Would be lovely to stay there.
