Hi funsters, we're working as site wardens at Penmarlam Park campsite at Bodinnick by Fowey, a beautiful peaceful rural site overlooking the Fowey estuary with first class facilities including award-winning loos and showers!!

We'd be delighted to host a rally here, proposing the dates above 23-30 Sept 2017. Site owner has agreed a special rate of £12 a night per pitch, which is a big saving on the normal tariff. Pitches are spacious and every pitch has EHU. Access to Penmarlam Park is good for even the bigger sized outfits. There's,a well stocked shop on site and plenty to do in and around the local area including beautiful walks and places of interest.

Please let me know if you're interested!! As soon as we can gauge how many are interested we can make a firm reservation.

This will be our first time hosting a rally so any suggestions as to what funsters like to do by way of entertainment would be welcomed!!

The water taxi will also come to the pontoon at the bottom of the site to run you into Fowey, or don't forget your inflatable.
 
Just a thought, is a week too long? Do people normally prefer weekends? We've never been to a rally so aren't sure what's best to offer in terms of dates/days or how long for. Any advice appreciated.
 
Ahhh we were getting excited then was going to come straight down after the Pembrey Funster meet . Just checked Calender and It clashes with the Malvern Autumn show :( which we have booked . Hope you run this next year we will Deffo look at it . Quite a few Funsters may be heading back from twin lakes around that time hope they see this thread .

We used to live in Fowey, my brother still does, and we would have come but we will be in Croatia. There are as you say wonderful walks from there over to the coast, along the river to Polruan, you can also walk to Bodinnick which is only about half a mile and get the ferry over to Fowey. With bikes a week can fly by I would think.

Site will probably be busy the previous 2 weeks hence why site owner happy to offer discount for later in the month

Love the sound of the site & area & thanks for the effort you're putting in.

My son's getting married that weekend so I can't make those dates sadly.

Judging by responses, it seems our proposed dates will clash with shows....so let's do it 30th Sept-7th
October instead. @BONZO hope you're still free for that week?

Hi Mo, it seems the week after would be better (30th Sept-7th Oct) to avoid clashing with shows, be grateful if you'd pass the word on to the FLORA group.
