Welcome to the forum. Sorry that you are in these circumstances.

Do you have a photo of the camper that you can share?

Morning and welcome, sad way to start your membership

Best of luck with recovery

I read on FB that is was stolen without keys but driven away, I thought that was impossible these days

Can you add anything to that?

Sorry to welcome you under such circumstances but welcome anyway. As @Mattyjwr said, a photo would be a good idea as number plates can be changed.
Good luck with the recovery.

Sorry to hear the bad news, I've posted the theft on some Facebook groups and I'll post these photos too. Hope you get it back.

Any vehicle with the dreaded OBD port can be started without the key if the villain has the correct kit.

I didn't realise that, I regularly hear about house break ins to steal keys, not sure why they bother with that if there is an easier way

Thanks, yet again I am slightly wiser today (y)

Fords are particularly vulnerable to electronic attack

The On Board Diagnostic (OBD) is used to override CAN bus security

Worse still, some lazy installers use alarms that actually plug into the OBD port, which is by the steering wheel

Plug the alarm into the OBD port, which the main dealer will unplug the first time they need to access the data, and a wireless sensor or two and you have a system that is convenient for the installer, but little use to the owner sadly

Your alarm should be independent of the on board electronics and manufacturers security, not turned on and off using the original key to avoid electronic attack

I've personally witnessed it on a brand new Ford Focus RS - the thieving scum simply smash a window, ignore any alarms, connect their device to the OBD port & literally within seconds the vehicle can be started & driven away, it's easier still if the vehicle has a new fangled electronic steering lock.

As a result I disabled the OBD ports on all the vehicles we own, which renders the thief's device inoperable.

I strongly recommend others do the same.

Keyless entry & keyless start on some newer Fords doesn't help either, on vehicles where the clutch has to be depressed prior to starting, a chunky clutch lock is a good visible deterrent, as is a Disklok, in addition to disabling the OBD port & installing a secondary immobilising alarm.

If I could legally connect our vehicles to 240v to shock thieves I would . . . :)

I am sorry to hear about your loss..

Not much help I know. But deadlocks fitted to the doors is a good thief deterrent as well. Combined with a pedal lock it makes your vehicle more trouble than it is worth.

It is perfectly legal. & best place for them.
Just a bit of a problem when they die. I'd put up with the agrro rather than lose a vehicle.

I have no issues with thieves dying whilst in the act of stealing my hard earned property :)
I have a '' Danger of death - do not enter '' sticker on my car - think i'll get a couple for the MH too :)

I think that the smell of singed scum would be a little unpleasant :(

Given how many of our customers trigger their own security devices, it would be a dying market

Sadly also virtually impossible to do

Easier, link your mobile phone to your immobiliser so the motorhome wont start with the keys, or electronically keyless theft) unless you allow it

Legal to, and can be used anywhere lol
