We are booked in for the Peterborough Show from 16th to 20th April but don't want to travel all the way from Tees-side on the 16th and don't want to come straight back.

Last year we had a night at Lyndon Top on the way down.

Any suggestions for somewhere to call in south of Tees-side and north-ish of Peterborough on the way down and back?

I can recommend Teversal. Worth going just for the showers!
If you're into walking or cycling, the country park opposite ( old mine site) has some stunning views.

We are stopping at Clumber Park CC site for two nights on the way down Graham, 14th and 15th.

One of my favourite sites. As you say worth it just for the showers... Don't forget they also have fresh baked bread delivered every weekday morning still warm...
