I'm looking to buy a wi fi repeater from motorhome wi fi but as some of you know there are 2 choices.
A Directional one and an omni directional one,one I have to adjust manually and get a stronger signal and the other one finds the signal itself but the signal is maybe weaker.
Does anyone have any experiences of any of these to help me choose which one please?
Someone on here bought one through ebay last week I heard and I would like know how they got on with it and did the seller sell it because he/she bought the wrong one?
Any help appreciated as you know they are not cheap and I don't want to make a mistake.

Since April 1846 but have always camped.
I have a directional one and decided that an omnidirectional would be much easier so I contacted the manufacturer. They went to great lengths to explain that they certainly could now supply me with an omni directional antenna but the directional was vastly superior.
They went on to explain that when setting up that the signal was quite broad and really only needed trying in a 90 degree arc at a time.
Basically they said stay with what you've got as it's the best.

Hi Trish and Terry

We use the directional one, might as well have the best signal possible.

Yes it is an obsolete model that suited my design and as you will see in the thread I managed to obtain a spare
