Well here we are on the Riviera de Fiori at Diano marina. Having a great time slowly eating our way through various eateries on the coast. Weather has cheered up but there are not that many people here on holiday.
On Friday we went to the Market at Ventimiglia. I used to be a good shopper and do 8 hours round the shops, but this was the biggest market along the sea coast I've ever been to. It did for me so we had to have a 3 course lunch to recover!
half the fun was watching the dodgy counterfeight sales guys running away from the carabinieri. It was like cat and mouse. :Eek!: No sooner than the police passed by, out they came with their " genuine" Rolexes!

Very envious, we hope to drive down one side of Italy, visit Sicily then drive up the other side during September and October. :thumb:

What a wonderful trip! I would love to do that but dave thinks it's too far to drive. I've seen too many episodes of Insector Montalbano and love to see him and his flat on the sea shoe. Sigh.

It is lovely and we had a great meal yesterday in Principe Decurtis. Where are you? Which is the acsi site?

We are in Oasi but it is quiet in the part where we are on the terraces.
Are you in the campsite next door?

Lucille.

Keep the good work up.

Keep posting and making us jealous.
Ah Shucks,Brian.
Gee that was not my intention! And just think we are missing all the fun post election!!

Now who would swap post -election recriminations for chilled prosecco, tortina di verdure, risotto alla marinara , fresh strawberries and cream in a filo pastry basket and cafe latte decafinato?:Laughing::Rofl1:

Warm and very windy here.

Hi luccille and Dave. Glad you are having a great time . We are back home now but taking notes as we are down that way in a few weeks.

Hi Gary and Mary,
The meal was in a restaurant on the sea front called Principe Decurtis. The sevice was so friendly, the food was to die for. Dave said it ranked up there with the spaghetti Al Scoglio we had in Rimini last year.

They made us and my pathetic few words of italian so welcome and all the locals were in there having Sunday lunch with us. Always a good sign isn't it?
So worth a visit if you are in Diano.
Lucille

Yay we have met up with Mickeymouse on the site and a Scottish couple not in fun.

Funsters reach far and wide!!:BigGrin::BigGrin:
