Pretty much made up my mind to get a Sh125 should be more than capable of doing a 30 mile radius tour and shopping. Just starting to struggle a bit with the Versy at 63 its a big old lump and last year I broke the indicators off 3 times getting it in and out, it's been great but probably time to change. Since having electric bikes we use it less and less.

As far as I am aware the Vision and SH125 both use 16" wheels, same as the Address.

Thats the bike I'm looking at much better than most other scoots as it has the big wheels.
Have you ridden it with a pillion as thats my worry with a 125.
Ridden this and the SH300 which is a flying machine but would prefer the lighter 125 if it can perform with a pillion.
Thanks(y)
OMG! It comes in pink too!!:clap2::clap2:

I am also in the scoter market now, bye bye Goldwing hello super scooter. The one thing is very clear to me as they all vary in length you have to sit on them before buying. My garage will not take a scooter so I am off down the Hydra trail route. To date the PCX125 is a contender, sat on a Burgman 200 too short in the rider area, SWHBO suffers from cramp if crouched up too much, to now looking at the Kawasaki j125 and J300, same size different engines, also on the list is the Yamaha 250,and Vorza. The big advantage is that they have large underseat lockers for the shopping, and the will take 2 helmets. Has anyone with a Hydra trail had loading problems with larger bikes or scooters. If I buy on I will fit an additional stabiliser bar from the nearside of the rack to a point near the tow bar mount bracket which will reduce the stress on the tow hitch.
Any observations ?

Hi Martin how are you.

We are still bumbling around Spain but at least we have managed to tear ourselves away from
Totana, it was tough but we did it.

We won't be getting our scoot until back in the UK, unless we stumble across a real bargain out here, you never know.

No contest - get a good Honda ANF 125 - sadly only second hand now. Light, a step through, 17" wheels, low insurance and tax and I get about 140 mg out of mine and up to 60 mph on a good day and a following wind! Two up? Dunno about that as I've never done it, but it hauls my considerable bulk around with ease!
Also a vote for the Honda ANF125.

We bought one, new, in 2004 and have used it extensively both one and two up. One up its quite fun to ride. Two up, The acceleration is down but still capable of cruising all day at 50-55mph which is what we need when pootling about.

After carrying it on a scooter rack for eight years it has spent the last four years as a runabout in France. Each Autumn it is laid up. I bring the battery back to the UK to keep it charged. In the Spring, refit battery, a couple of prods on the starter and she's away. No problems experienced in the twelve years we have owned it.

Great little bike. Plenty around second hand too, at silly money.

BROKEN LINK

I bought a Peugeot Kisbee 100cc. It came with a 2 year warranty and averages 100mpg. Used it all round Cannes, Monaco and it coped really well. A bit sluggish going up some really steep hills but easily does 50 mph on the flat with two up. Weighs 97kg. Very nimble and easy to ride. Paid £1375.

Hello again Colin and Sandra,
Today I acquired a 62plate PCX, 4K on the clock, it had just been traded in by another Motor homer today for a Kisbee. I think weight was his issue. We gave it a blast around the block two up and it does go quite well. weight 130k. Another toy to find a home for !

Did you buy it from Barney's bikes by any chance? Traded ours in today.

Well done, that didn't take you too long to find the right one. We fell for a Yamaha Xmax and nearly bought one from Gibraltar until we realised the weight of them.

It gets better, went to Insure the PCX alas I could not add it to the Gold Wing Policy, however the broker came up with a quote including 90days European cover for 150. He the said, have you received your Birthday voucher yet? No I said, it will come on your birthday (Sunday 8th), it is valued at one pound for each year of your age and you can use it against your premium. Excellent I said, I will start the new policy on Monday ,thereby reducing the premium by over one half!!.. Happy Days!

I am a big Honda fan but I can higly reccomend the Kymco agility city. Looks a similar to the big wheeled Honda but nicer IMO. Has 2 year warranty and cheaper I have used and abused these on Greek islands off road etc with wife and I aboard no worry's. The combined weight with us and stuff for beach trips would be 30+ stone and we have been on some adventures I can tell you. Those story's can be for another day. Google Kymco agility city you want the big wheel version I am in Kos now and notice some hire shops have it in a 150 also.

The trouble with scooters over 125cc is the weight most are heavier than a small motorbike.
We carry a 650cc Kawasaki Versys in the garage 215kgs and keep thinking we'll change it for a scooter. If we do we'd prefer something over 125cc as well but most are very bulky and virtually the same weight.
Currently looking at Honda SH125 & SH300 but struggle to find one under £1500.00. Love the bike but a scooter would make more sense but very difficult to find one that suits our needs as we do like to tour on the bike and small scooters not very good at that.
You should treat tha sen to a Piaggio 50cc great uphills best £90 I ever wasted :D

Hello again Sandra and Colin. On the subject of the Kymco Agility 125 , there will be a choice of 5 of these between )2 and 65 Reg coming up for auction on a repossession Auction site soon. I know this because I will be collecting them from storage later this week. If you are interested I can keep you posted as to which is the best of the bunch
