TO 55 ER? There is a letter missing here..... As for W4 NKR Have you actually seen that plate, I would be surprised if its on the road.
I like the Idea of a not being able to tell the age of your MH or Car, helps stop malicious damage.... Mind you It can only work to an extent, some cars / MH's were not around when some plates were first issued....

Well I have read the post and smiled........I have come to the conclusion that I must be the biggest snob going
RV, W80 TOY (weighty toy)
C5 Corvette, C5 VET
Company trucks
D8TA 0 (data academy)
D8TA E (data academy)
D8TA V (data academy)
Numbers for sale on retention
X81 GGS (mr Biggs just for you)
MR52 GUN (Mrs Zoe gun Mr Gun or a Shooting Man)
Wanted D8TA ? numbers
I do find that the company Vehicles get noticed and the signwriting read much more since we had the plates, I have always had private plate for the company and my self........funny though don't have one on my car at the present just the plain old 52 plate it came with :thumb: I have had some fantastic numbers in the past on cars I bought a few that stick in my mind are FAY 1, FKU 22, and 377 KY there have been hundreds more.
All the best Rick
Does a 'personal' plate attract more or less attention when you do or don't want it?

My question above got lost in all the discussions about snobbery................
Has anyone else registered a new MH with an older plate? I am not talking about a private registration number, just simply one that is older.
I just can't help but think that many undesirables out there will target new vehicles before ones that they think are older.

Seem to recall that PEN1S belonged to ex motorcycle racer Steve Parrish, but I could be wrong.
We have a guy lives near us with R 5 END (ar*end)

this used to belong to my daughters driving instructer, just around the corner in Bessacarr doncaster
He's been stopped for having the spacing wrong (R 5END) so he has had to alter it back to normal.
There is also one near me with MEP 1 P, also got pulled for wrong spacing (ME P1P).
Guess what his name is

If you change the spacing or otherwise make it read something different (like strategically placed screws) you can be fined up to £1000 and have the registration withdrawn.
