Not being tech minded is there somewhere that can update our ZENEC dashboard Sat nav?

Are the maps on a removable micro card?
Ours is a different model to your picture but the handbook tells you how. As Jaws has said you will need to download Naviextras to your pc.

The SD card is used to update the maps. You need a pc to logon and purchase the updates.

Mojo Hi

As I said on Hogs I paid over £100 for the down load then I had to extract files to a SD card and upload to my Zenec. It said it had updated however I am not sure. I did mine about six months ago it said it was the latest updates 4th quarter of 2019 however new roads around me that have been open for over two years still do not show on the maps. I was over in Germany a couple of weeks back and its is not much better over there.

I give up. Have purchased the Sygic Truck app to the android phone for approx £55.00. Fingers crossed this cheaper method works alongside the old dashboard unit.

I'll be watching this thread with interest.
I have a Zenec unit fitted to my 2018 Hymer

Reading through the HOGS FB page I did not see a single positive comment on the Zenec units
I also did not see anyone that had successfully managed to update a Zenec unit

Given the prevalence of wifi and bluetooth technology I find it incredible a unit as sophisticated as a Zenec is incapable of automated updates, yet it can automatically react to traffic!

After several hours of reading the manual I also gave up
I never found the website above !

The van was registered in September 2018, but I suspect the software update is considerably older.

Our year old dethleffs has a Zenec system . Straight forward to update the maps which are free at the moment. The sat nav is good, however we don't use it! The reason being I prefer to use the screen to see what is behind me😅. We use a stand alone Avtex /Garmin unit.

I also have the Zenec on a 2019 Dethleffs. I agree the vast majority of comments are very negative.
Why I am not sure? I have updated mine 3 times at no cost. Once the main program (once only to a pc) is downloaded the update takes a few minutes and is virtually automated.

In use, is it the best, probably not, but I have used Jaguar and BMW and they have both had major faults. The Zenec works and it has always got me there or thereabouts 🥴.
On the plus side it has.the.onboard water, battery status, android app, etc as well as 3 cameras. Not sure what everyone else wants?

We had a Zenec once we got it working 18 months (Hymer warranty) it was ok, but, had it gave any more trouble there is no backup in the UK so would have replaced it with another system.🙂

In my manual it says do not remove the memory chip behind the little pull out bit called 'map'
However is that what you are supposed to do ?

I never want to see what's behind me I prefer not to see the carnage I leave behind

Does this help

You will have to find the unit that is installed in your MoHo

As an example here is a navigation update

Navigation software updates (map data and system updates, as well as the free map update subscription for 3 years) can be downloaded from the Naviextras Internet portal using your PC or notebook.

Yes, remove the card, insert into the pc via a card reader, it will backup the current maps,.download the updates and save.to.the card. When complete, insert back into the Zenec and it will read the data and update the maps - at least it does with mine 😉

We had the dealer route the rear view camera to a clip on LCD unit over the rear view mirror, with the reversing camera left on the Zenec. Works a treat .. 4 mirrors and live feed rearview when driving, and both rearview and parking camera when reversing (plus mirrors)

The Sygic is working well. Using Bluetooth to on board speakers for directions and the Huawei screen almost the same size as the ZENEC. Might upgrade to live traffic for £8.00.
