I havn‘t looked at any of the caravan or camping content from this show, just the motorhome reviews.

We have had no reason to go to the last few similar shows, but have until now found most of the reviews being done by the YouTubers satisfactory, and enough to form the basis for further detailed research if needed.

This year however I have found many of the reviews appalling, factually incorrect (not just the gas one), and missing so much or getting so much wrong from just what I can see watching it.

One even highlighted a four berth 3500kg with less than 400Kg payload. Then, was critical of the lack of storage! Storage is no use, with three 75Kg people (not typical of that many I know) you barely have enough left for a full tank of fuel. The emphasis was on how good it was, rather than a straight it’s useless or suggesting you might want a gross weight uplift (though it would still not be enough for four people).

So, for me a slim down of those I follow. If I want to go somewhere or buy a product I will just do a search if I can’t get sufficient information here on Fun.

Largely because I like the personalities involved I will be keeping up with The Urban Motorhome, Greg Virgo, Liam the Terrible, Life is too short, Project Amber, the exPAWers and Camper Vibe.

I realise everyone is different and will have different choices, with many having none, but I have just got fed up with the rubbish being churned out by too many.

We actually went to the show the first day, and thought it was very good. Not that we wanted anything in particular, but it was a good day out.
Mostly i watch the YouTubers for a bit of entertainment not necessarily for the correct information.

When I was thinking about buying a MH I visited about 3-4 dealers and soon realised that I would get more information doing my own research, by the same token I never visited a MH Show.

I did my research and eventually bought my N&B Arto which I have been very happy with for 14 years, as is Basia after 12 years together.

I have no need of dealers, so far, except to buy spares (3 times), nor of shows.

Dealers and shows seem to be an industry in itself, which so far I have not spent any money towards, but have had 14 happy years MHoming.

It can be done.

Totally agree. Style over substance most times. I know these people earn a living from their activity but like any job you really should get the facts right rather than going on about the "gorgeous fabric" etc ad nauseum. Storage?!! Don't get me started. Just why converters create massive lounges for say 4 people and provide tiny cupboards I do not know. The latest Adria Coral 670 DC has a shoebox by the door with a hinged lid held by a flimsy plastic strap. Just for fun I took off my size 11s and found that one went in but not 2. What useless design. We bought our Coral in 2020 specifically because the 2021 model did not have the essential tall larder cupboard. It had been sacrificed for a larger lounge and extra seat. Ludicrous!
