I'm a newbie had a wobbly box when adam was a lad
Hi all looking at a Besacarr E765 in the ad it states it's 3850 kg but according to Besacarr's specs for this model, it's 3400 kg so its been upgraded. does this mean I can down plate it? I'm 67, so I've only got 3 years till I'm 70, so I could lose my C1 entitlement.
Cheers
Peter

It depends what options have been fitted, all add weight to the basic spec, awning, automatic, bike rack etc. In the spec there is no allowance for your passengers, (only 75 kg for driver), water, clothes, food and drink books, camping chairs and table, BBQ…… the list goes on. I suspect that even at 3850 it will be near the limit.

Panic over the sellers has stated that it's been down plated 3500 kg he had to drive to his storage to check so when I add the MIRO 2939 kg and the user payload of 461 kg that gives me 3422 kg, so I'm in the clear I hope I thought moving from wobbly box would bee simple

It is what is on the V5C logbook that matters. There could be several plates on the motorhome showing different weights, I can find 4 on my 2019 vehicle. You will need to make sure he has read the latest plate which should be the one matching the DVLA records. Best thing is to get it to a weigh bridge and find out what it weighs as it is being sold. Your payload is the registered weight less the weigh bridge weight. You should also check the individual axle weights do not exceed their plated weights.

At over 7m it may have very little payload if registered at 3500kg.

Be aware MIRO varies between manufacturers, some include water, some allow 20ltr, some none.
Then you need to check if anything has been added since it left the factory, tow bar, extra battery, etc.
If you want to be 100% sure then it really needs to go on a weighbridge empty. (y)

God, this motorhome lark is complicated, so much switching from a wobbly box making life simple anyways think I'll scrub the E765 plan and limit my search within 3500 kg. only considered it because it was a good price just the bessacarr E 725 models are thin on the ground next thing that'll happen is someone will tell me not to look at bessacrr's I like them because their style is similar to my Vanmaster. Thanks for all the advice
