Yellow jackets at St Malo Port

Just turned up at St Malo to be followed by a bus load of yellow jackets. It appears they are blockading the ferry entrance as no one else has come in behind us. I will update when through customs.

Yes I think we heard they are doing a short concentrated attack, don’t think it will last long probably a W/end thing hopefully!

We have decided not to travel this weekend, leaving it to Monday before moving on. Currently in the Gironde region.

Is Macron still suppressing news of it?

Just had a walk over and they are protesting against Macron, it appears that they are not allowing people in or out of the Port.
This could be a longer day than planned!

The protest continues with no one leaving or entering the Port, the protesters are all protesting against Macron!

We were leaving our plans flexible to follow the weather this summer but may well just decide to avoid France. What a shame! Surely they must be having an economic impact on their compatriots.

Not to worry as the ferry port is considering hiring a Tory MP to clear the protesters

We have left port with only 20 vehicles on board and less than 100 foot and bike passengers on.

Not a great start or finish to the queues of people we have left behind.

We came off the ferry at 815 this morning. They had tree branches across the road. The ferry staff moved some bollards from the exit route lane and told us to follow road round and turn right. We passed a few vehicle waiting to enter ferry port and passed the protesters but we had no trouble to continue our journey.
