Apologies for making the title a bit 'young'.

I know I can make my own with some research but could I ask if anyone has a list of places to see related to the war (both wars) in Northern France.
I fancy a bit of a pilgrimage there after 'doing' Arromanches earlier this year.

Some places of course I know but would ask if Funsters could assist please.

A Google map thing would be ideal if anybody knows of one.

Thank you.

Major & Mrs Holt’s pocket guides - google them or look on eBay
Brilliant little guides which give you all of the main poi’s along with a brief history and they also do suggested routes which take in the sights.
They do different guides for various battles.

Batterie Todt near calais, one of the gun battery is a museum, well worth the visit

I agree, although the place is pretty depressing. Plan something to cheer you up after.
Of maybe after.... reflect on what you have just seen, and what it must have been to live through the war.. and thank god for that 21 miles of water called the channel

The Citadel at Verdun to experience what it was like in the trenches.

I've been to Oradour SG.
It was spoiled to some extent by the groups of bored French school kids.
Let's hope they took something away from their experience.

Stayed at the Site.

Not been anywhere else yet do thank you for the other info.
