Has anyone used one of these. I think it works on the same principle as a Mr D's but substantially cheaper.

This one's better

Yes - works well but very bulky (can double up as a cushion though) & suggest using a heat mat in the bottom to prevent scorching.

No neither had I......isn't is based on the Maori way of cooking - in a hole in the ground, I remember we went to a ??????(can't recall what is what called) and they served the meal from this underground oven. Great.

They are very bulky. You can DIY with an insulated box wrapped in a duvet or similar.

Never tried it but researched on www a few years ago.

I've often thought of trying to make one using a cool box packed with extra insulation. like the old hay box cookers

Wonderbag
Thought this was about a bloke in our village's wife she know's every thing

There's been a few threads on it in the past, put "wonderbag" in the search box & you'll find some interesting discussions.

Thanks for your responses. I think I might look at a Mr. D's instead.

Delivery time for Wonderbag from Amazon 4-6 months!!! Wanted it for Norway, we'll be back by then.
