Wissant Aire. Where's the bus gone. (1 Viewer)

Those that have used this aire will know that an area has to be left empty for the local bus to park overnight. We were on there last night and between 11pm and 6am there was no sign of the bus so more motorhomes could be accommodated. Just wondering if this was a temporary thing or does the bus now park somewhere else?

We were there a few weeks ago and there were some busses parked up overnight.

They are all School Buses and if not needed in the mornings then they park elsewhere.

We've seen up to four bus' park there - and also have been there when none park overnight. Sometimes they come in quite late too so don't ever assume you can park there. The bays are very clearly marked.

Incidentally, the cars you sometimes see in the bays belong to the drivers.

Have only used Wissant in the winter months. Every time I would be woken very early in the mornings when it seemed like 3 or 4 buses would start and tick over (while the drivers when for a cuppa?) presumably to get the heating up to temperature. Took to parking as far away from them as possible.

Last time we were there 2 buses drove in stopped briefly then drove out again.
