The 3 pin socket will be wired via an inverter. The 5v/1a. 5v/2.1a socket can I wire this into my 3 pin socket as it will be inches away from it, or do I need to take it back to the battery via a small fuse.

What voltage is the USB charger? I'd have gone for a 12V charger, rather than mains. They you don't need to have your noisy inefficient inverter switched on for hours just to charge something tiny.

Your actual question doesn't make sense. You give a choice of wiring it into the 3 pin 230V mains socket, or taking it back to the 12V battery. It is unlikely you have a charger that gives you these options. If you get it wrong, you may get a small explosion.

You need to clarify what the USB socket is - is it a mains (230v) one or a 12v one? If a mains one then you can use the same wiring as the 3-pin mains socket, but if its a 12v one you'll need to wire it independently back to the battery or another nearby 12v source (assuming the cabling is sufficient for it and the original 12v source to be used at the same time).

when people seriously have to ask such questions, it is clear they should not attempt any wiring. Pay a professional to do it properly and safely. They know what they are doing
