wine tasting

Hi Folks, We're in the Dordogne region and plan to start wandering north in a couple of days. Does anyone know any vineyards or caves in the Loire or Centre region that do wine tasting and motorhome stop over? I intended to get France Passion before we left but forgot. I've heard that quite a few of the vineyard owners allow MHs to stay over but would like some recommendations.

We found in Alsace the best thing to do was go to the local tourist info office and ask there. There were a few that allowed stopovers not in france passion.

We have also used tourist offices for info on aires. Had some really good ones not in the book.

theres good aire at sumur, there also wine tasting caves all around there, but Im not sure if the caves alow overnighting

The aire at Sumur is really good and the local tourist info office is too!!!

Try Turquant , nice aire , I believe there's a couple of vineyards locally with tastings ( personally I don't drink ) but friends we were with found some.

thanks folks. We went to the Saumur Aire - really excellent. Had a tour of Langlois Chateau cave before we arrived and it was wonderful. Only one of us could do the tasting bit because we were still en route. Lucky me! Lovely bubbly
