any one got experience of fitting a windslip to side of van? the bit that stops wind blowing under van into an awning? seen some with a full length channel rail and some with press poppers, and where to buy? thanks!

No experience of these but have seen inflatable versions at shows which wedge under the motorhome as another option. Sure others will be along to help shortly :)

Like the sound of that no holes in van!!

Found it - two versions of Khyam Kamper Baffle https://www.khyam.co.uk/accessories-c707/awning-accessories-c735/other-c740/kamper-baffle-p39 & https://www.khyam.co.uk/accessories...r-c740/kamper-baffle-xl-long-wheel-base-p1732 but not cheap!

Think the idea came from something similar used in a different way for boats - maybe some on here will know about those?

Our awning came with a ‘wind skirt’ designed to slide into a rail along the lower part of the ‘van - no many mohos have them AFAIK, but they can also be attached with limpet magnets, if your van is metallic!

You can also try Jormax, the windbreak people.

They sell a wind slip in various lengths and you can cut out a hole to fit your step.

Currently I m using my old one off my caravan, which I clip to the underside of my Motorhome with bulldog clips!

So far seems to work perfectly.

They are not, the proper term for them is draught skirt.

Thanks it’s called a windslip by Thule but draught skirt works, bought a safari room on ebay which came with one but not the bits to attach to van, it’s plastic so magnets won’t work and thanks to wombles for the inflatable info, currently in Cornwall in a gale so might go for sticking a channel on van skirt to slide into for a nice seal,

I considered adding a channel but I noticed a ‘ledge’ or edge just under my van.
I used bulldog clips and dimples clipped my caravan fraught skirt to the underside of my van, worked a treat on our first trip out

Now you got me thinking, the channel isn’t exactly pretty so could hide under van.
Looking to use in winter for returning after a days cycling to store all,the wet gear so need it fairly windproof, think clips would come loose especially in the gale we are in just now not expecting much sleep tonight!!

you can buy suction limpets to attach to the van without drilling holes too

Yes, I considered running a channel on the lip underneath my motorhome but unfortunately I do not have a reasonably straight route, garage and step all contribute to a severe undulation along the bottom of the motorhome, it was another reason I could not run a channel along the side!
