We are considering downsizing again from our Adria 670 slt for a few reasons.

Parking is tight on the drive. It does fit but only just. Wildax is on a MAN Auto so better drive than the Fiat. Easier on the small side roads. We enjoyed our last panel van the Autosleeper Warwick XL. Excellent exchange price at the moment.

Having looked around for a while thinking about it we like this van set up. We saw it at the show on Saturday and have been doing further inquiries.

Love the all electric aspect. diesel heater, compressor fridge but not sure how practical it will be. 2x100amp lithium. I do know payload is tight as they even tell you to run with the water tank empty to save weight. We go for 90 days at a time and move around mostly wild/free camping in aires so thinking the drive will top up from b2b more than the 400w solar

There is not a great deal on line so wondered if anyone has this van? and their thoughts?

There are a number of owners on the Wildax Enthusiasts group who could give you an owners view, it’s a very friendly group. We have an Elara which is based on the Mercedes base, we have found the Wildax quality to be good, main grumbles are around hinges, screw lengths and drawer locks, so really pernickety! Factory are very responsive and you can get warranty work done there if you choose.
on payload, I agree, ours couldn’t be run on 3500kg, at least not carrying 120litres of water, full gas and fuel, we uprated to 4000kg which was a paper exercise. Lots do run at 3500 however! 🙁

I’m hoping to stay at 3500kg. Saving quite a bit not having an awning as we find we don’t use it enough to justify dragging it around. Thanks for the reply

Ours only had 320kg quoted payload measured with no water, on the Altair it’s a 100litre tank, so you’d have to travel very lightly or do as most Elara owners do and ignore the weights!! 😀

Had a look at one today and it seemed ok but didnt float my boat. I find the not travelling with water very strange given that it looks set up for wild camping and would have thought that it would be better coming out needing a C1 licence.

Hi Dave, I'm too interested in these and they seem incredible value for money, with some hefty discounts currently. What was it that put you off? do you have alternatives in mind?

Thanks in advance

The weight issue and a quite unhelpful dealer is making me question going elsewhere
