Wild camping sothhamton

I know on or two places near to Southampton - does that help?

portsdown hill overlooking the harbour but nearer Portsmouth is good. only a few miles to the east. Southampton city itself though is too built up to wildcamp

could also stay just outside southampton in the new forest in one of numerous gravel carparks, depends where you want to be near to

None of the car parks in the New Forest allow overnighting. The Forestry Commission does check, apparently, and will move people on.

Wild camping

The marina at Hamble had motorhomes parked in the car park, a few weeks ago. They were waiting for the Motorhome Facts meet to open, and they overnighted there. It is overlooking the Solent and had a lovely riverside
Walk, and a walk through a wood to the village. Alan.:thumb:

Look for hamble common on google earth
just off to the right of the mouth of hamble river
small car park just before the marina
quite a few people use this,

If Portsmouth is no good to you then try the common, loads of space around the zoo. I used to park there years ago.

Has he really got space ? Need a spot in Pompey for a night at the end of August!!

Overnighting in Portsmouth is easy, loads of seafront parking in Southsea or Tescos at Port Solent is always a good stop and handy for the ferry.

I was one of those a wonderful spot it was. we got to it down School lane and the Solent comes in twice so we backed our M/Home over the wall and the sea was lapping up to us.
To wake up to that in the morning the view was terrific.
The Police came round and then watched us all night.
it was the first time we had wild camped in this country :thumb:

It's really good you find the right place to do camping, actually living in camps and facing this wildlife is really amazing you will learn lots of things from this which is how to survive in your life.
