Has anyone found a way to avoid the massive restrictions of the so called “ fair usage policy” in Europe? I’m with Smarty for streaming tv mainly but found out that I was restricted to 12 Gb per month when I signed up to unlimited data for £20 per month. 12GB is 1 night viewing!
Another conjob of Brexit!

I second Superdrug. We have been in France/ Spain since 26 November and no issues streaming or downloading - Nove to Dec - 85GB used, Dec to Jan 153GB used and still counting.

We have two contracts with Vodafone with unlimited usage, however, after spending 4 months in France during the summer, they advised that the contracts were not designed for prolonged use in EU, therefore they would have to start charging us for EVERY MB/GB used! We cannot use in EU, so can only use when back in UK!

Change it to the £10 for 30gb and use your 12gb abroad. Then use your phone as a hotspot.

We’ve got 12gb on the Smarty Sim, and 12gb each on mine and my wife’s phones. Don’t watch much tv whilst away, but easily lasted us 3 weeks in France last September/ October.

Next time we go we’ll be buying a French or Spanish PAYG sim and put that in the MiFi.

Not as convenient as one SIM, but once the remaining offers from Superdrug etc catch up with ‘Fair Useage’ they’ll be few other ways of doing it…….at the moment. ;)

That's very interesting about Superdrug mobile. Any idea who they piggyback off in France and Spain?

Doesn't matter if you get a slow connection you just change the network still won't be as fast as other sims always seems throttled when using a 3 sim but fast enough.

We used a Superdrug sim in France and Spain for 6 weeks in Oct/Nov used 110GB.
You get all the normal problems when using a 3 sim roaming but worth the hassle for unlimited data.
