Wife fancies an air fryer

200w on the roof and a 200w portable that moved around into sun...

I would like more on the roof to be honest
Only asked as we had 550 ah left when we departed and used 1800w air fryer, hair drier, kettle TV,router etc but have 640w solar ( and 200w folding at home never been used ,think I over estimated when building the van I also added 100ah charger and bought a little inverter Genny neither of them have been used in 3 years

Yes, I definitely need more solar !! Though if I can't resolve that then I will add more lithium

Beetroot Wellington - one of nearly 1/4 million reasons to have gas oven in the Moho.
Roast butternut squash and garlic in the oven. Smash to a pulp, season and spread onto some packet puff pastry. Put some beetroot on the mixture and roll into a giant sausage type roll. A few slices through the top of the pastry and an egg wash. Bake for between 5 mins and 105 mins depending on your Moho oven until golden. A few tatties in the oven whilst the Wellington is baking and some reduced red wine gravy Deeellliicciioous 😀
🤮🤮🤮

What’s that ? Don’t forget she’s Swedish anyway!

The incoming UWE and Bristol Uni students have been through local ASDA like a plague of locusts.
There’s lots in our local Asda. Why don’t you try online offers ?

Sausages In an air fryer, yuck.
Tried it once never again they come out squidy and don't taste right, I like mine black on the outside.
I remember as a kid having proper beef sausages which when cooked well the ends would open up so you'd get lovely crunchy bits. 😋

I've been trying out the Ninja Crispi (https://ninjakitchen.co.uk/product/...-glass-air-fryer-stone-fn101ukst-zidFN101UKST) for few weeks now and like it a lot. Bit smaller than most so easy to store. Easy to clean. The interface is bit simplistic, just few different presets and a timer, but seems to work. Small container can do meal for one or a side for two, bigger one fits a meal for two. Power requirement is a bit steep at 1700W.

It will lessen your gas usage, but obviously increase your electric usage.

I haven’t done the calculations but gas is a lot cheaper than electric so I am not convinced it would save money.

We have one and I can say it’s quick and easy
With a mid sized gas refill at £54 from B&Q yesterday, and plenty of solar. so much that we sue it to heat the water, I don't think so!

We use the air fryer every day! Home or away. Brilliant for saving energy and great results. The baked potato result is superb!

And my mum used to pour the remaining fat from the sausages onto the mash potato 👍

We bought a Ninja large 2 drawer Air Fryer for use at home with a Black Friday discount, it was as expected quite large, but what made me as chief cook send it straight back unused, was the drawer size. I expected it to be big enough to take a whole chicken in one of the drawers but it wouldn't.
I have since found the Ninja 11 in one round cooker, that is 6ltr in size and will cook in 3 ways, but its quite expensive, so will wait for the sales. Plus I can use it to replace the hob top old fashioned pressure cooker that I use in the van also.

I can however fully recommend the Remoska Oven at 400 watts(y) although I will get the Grande version next time, its used most nights at home, spatchcock chickens, small meat joints, curries, pies and pastries, and in MH when on EHU. Between the Remoska and the hob I can cook most meals in the van, with the van Tek Tower oven only used as a food and plate warmer, Pizza Oven at a push.
Remoska's Rock!(y):cool::giggle:

We love our air fryer.

Excellent for M&S chicken and leek pie
Baked potatoes
Lasagne
Fish fingers

And yes sausages - Lenny is plain wrong

Got the Ninja in the house and a small low power Salter air fryer in the van , wouldn’t be without it now. Does Scottish breakfast , square sausage , tattie scone , bacon , need to change the fried egg to baked egg ( omelette) works great , never got a pizza to cook properly but got the oven in the van for that 🙂

Despite the size of our MH, we don't have any cupboard space nor worktop space for an Air Fryer, what with the 2000w Induction Hob, Standard Remoska, 900w Kettle,
650w Toaster, and 650W Microwave taking up any available space. ;)

lorger. Whilst many commented on your pickled beetroot with your roast dinner Gerry, I note that none of them spotted the silverskin pickled onions. ;)

It all looked very tasty to me pal. 👍

Cheers,

Jock. :)
